About Women’s Parliament
Women’s Parliament is a platform for critical and feminist debates on the prevailing policies and discourse in Israel.

The Women’s Parliament was founded in 1999 by Shin – the Israeli Movement for Equal Representation of Women, Beit Berl College (department of Social Science) and Hen - Hertzlia Women. The Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Beit Berl College and hosting local municipalities sponsor the activity of the Parliament .

The steering committee of the Women’s Parliament consists of the following members: Yael German (mayor of Hertzlia), Dr. Linda Efroni (economist and lawyer), Dr. Varda Granot (school director), Iris Avraham (vice mayor in Givatiam), Ragda Massalha (regional coordinator in the Matnasim association, Oranit Levy-Spektor (regional instructor in JDC Israel), Yona Markovitz (lawyer), Nadin Holander (organizational advisor), Dr. Esther Hertzog (Women’s Parliament coordinator), Ruth Reznik (head of L.O – no to violence), Ibtissam Machamid (social activist), Dr. Zvia Valden (linguistic researcher), Barbara Svirsky (head of Adva center), Yochi Yahel (head of protecting residents association), Goldy Koren (spokeswoman), Merav Michaeli (journalist), Ziva Kohen (construction entrepreneur), Prof. Smadar Lavi (anthropologist and social activist ).
